01 Overview
Find Me Food helps people discover halal restaurants in London without the usual research.
02 The problem
Finding a restaurant that’s halal — and knowing details such as vegan options or whether alcohol is served — usually means cross-checking reviews, social media and restaurant websites.
03 Who it’s for
People in London looking for halal food, whether for a quick bite, a family celebration or iftar during Ramadan.
04 My role
I designed and built the iOS app and the restaurant dataset behind it, and I’m now building a web version with a dashboard for managing restaurant data.
05 The solution
The app organises restaurants around how people actually plan a meal — by occasion and cuisine — with a map for exploring nearby options and clear information on each restaurant page.
Discover by occasion
Shortcuts for Eid, Iftar, Birthday, Brunch and more, alongside cuisine filters.
Map and search
Explore restaurants across London on a map, or search by name or area.
Useful restaurant pages
Halal status, vegan options and whether alcohol is served, shown clearly.
Favourites
Save restaurants to come back to later.

06 Key decisions
- a.
Occasion-led browsing
Grouping by occasion reflects real decisions — where to go for iftar or a birthday — rather than a plain list.
- b.
A curated dataset
Restaurant information is gathered and structured into a consistent format, so every listing shows the same essential details.
07 Technology
- Swift
- MapKit
- SvelteKit
- Supabase
