About
Hello, I’m Abdul.
I’m a cyber security consultant based in London, and I design and build websites and digital products.
Whatever I’m working on, the part I enjoy is the same: understanding the problem properly, finding a practical solution and turning the idea into something that works.
Background
Grounded in cyber security
My professional work is in cyber security consulting — helping organisations understand their risks, prepare for incidents and become more resilient.
Areas I work in
- 01 Cyber risk and governance
- 02 Security and maturity assessments
- 03 Incident response and business continuity planning
- 04 Cyber crisis exercises and tabletop simulations
- 05 Risk management and organisational resilience
This website is mainly about the websites and products I build. My web development work doesn’t include penetration testing or specialist security assessments — but the habits from consulting come with me to every project.
Approach
What consulting taught me about building
- 01
Understand the organisation first
Assessments taught me to learn how an organisation actually works before recommending anything. I start every website the same way.
- 02
Plan beyond launch
Incident response and continuity planning are about what happens next. I think about handover, maintenance and who looks after things once they’re live.
- 03
Make complex things clear
Running exercises with non-technical teams means explaining things plainly. Good websites do the same for their visitors.
- 04
Be honest about scope
I’ll tell you what’s worth building now, what can wait and what you might not need at all.
Building things
Ideas I’ve turned into products
Alongside my main role, I like taking an idea from a rough sketch to something people can actually use. A few examples:

Web application
EventDays.uk
Daily stadium event alerts for people who live and travel near UK grounds.

SaaS product
CBR₂
Incident response planning software — close to the field I work in professionally.

Website
TraceMyData
Digital footprint audits that help people understand their privacy exposure.

Mobile app
Find Me Food
An app for discovering halal restaurants across London.
Other projects include Sakinah, a compatibility-first Muslim matchmaking platform. I also build websites for businesses, such as ESTEM Academy and N2 Learning.
Tools I use
- SvelteKit
- Next.js
- React
- TypeScript
- Tailwind CSS
- Supabase
- Stripe
- Swift
- Vercel
Outside work
Beyond the screen
When I’m not at a keyboard, I’m usually outdoors, at the football or somewhere new.

Hiking Getting out on the trails — and organising hikes for others.
Football Following the game, and refereeing it.
Travel Exploring new places, near and far.

Have a project in mind?
Whether I’m advising an organisation or building a website, it comes down to the same thing: understanding the problem and making something genuinely useful. If you have an idea, I’d love to hear about it.
